This is a beautiful ‘posada’ located in the historical center of Oaxaca. It is quite small (only 7 rooms including master suite), has a swimming pool and a very good restaurant. It is quiet, private, elegant with very good service. In my opinion, the best and most special hotel Oaxaca. The prices range from $1250.00 to $2470.00. Because of it’s size, availability can be difficult if not booked early enough.

This is a small, simple hotel with lots of character and charm. All rooms have private bath, no telephone or TV. There is no pool, but they have a lovely garden where breakfast is served every morning. The prices are very reasonable, but they do not accept credit cards-cash only. It is a very popular place and is full almost year round. It is about a 10-minute walk from the zocalo.
Sencilla (1 small bed) $510.00
Double (2 single beds or 1 double) $550.00

This is probably one of the most famous (and expensive) hotels in Oaxaca. It is the former 16th-century convent of Santa Catalina. It is very beautiful, and rooms are decorated with original art. They are equipped with air conditioning, telephone and t.v. The hotel offers a swimming pool, valet parking, restaurant and bar. It is centrally located in the historical district. Prices are approximately $3290.00 based on double occupancy.
Hotel Azucenas
Calle Martiniano Aranda #203

This property is in the historic district of Oaxaca, very small (10 rooms with private bath) and quiet. It has a rooftop café/bar where breakfast is served privately to guests of the hotel. It is one of the best kept and inexpensive hotels in Oaxaca. I know several people who have stayed here and loved it.
Single $525.00
Double $575.00
