EL PASAPORTE Tasting Mexico

Before you plan your next trip or purchase any airline tickets be sure that you check the expiration date of your passport.  I didn’t and it cost me a pretty penny.  No only did I end up paying penalties that equaled the price of a new ticket but it took me over  three hours to get the documents to  renew my passport at a local office  last week.  I made  multiple trips to copy that,  notarize this, as new requirements sprung up every time I came back to the window. It was of course my fault for not keeping the expiration date in mind, so check yours out so you won’t find yourself at the airport, all packed and ready to go to the vacation of your dreams and have to turn back.  You need a passport even to go to Cleveland,OH. I think, unless that is something that is only required of people with foreign names.

But that was the passport not the PASAPORTE that the  Consulate of Mexico in New York  has created to encourage diners to visit the participating restaurants where you can pick one up among other locations.  If you pick it up at a participating restaurant, you will get a 10% discount on  your first return trip. All the restaurants are good so you can’t miss. Once you fill it (you have almost a year)   Turn it in and you might win one of three trips to Guanajuato one of the most beautiful, romantic and interesting cities in the interior of Mexico.
