Zarela Catering

Every once in a while I have to remind people that we cater.  In fact that is how my career started in 1976 in El Paso, Texas.  I was married to a widower with three children and we had twins.  I needed to make extra money and literally started baking cookies for friends.

I often ask people what they do for fun and sometimes it takes people a long time to answer and throw the question back to me.  My answer is unequivocally: I entertain! I absolutely love to welcome people in my home,  show them real Mexican hospitality and create a festive atmosphere.  That is what Winston Cole, our catering director, recreates in the parties and events we cater both in-house or at any location in the three-state area.

We’ve re catered events for Julie Taymor,  The Mexican Cultural Institute, The Mexican Consul party for Carlos Fuentes, The Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian, The Smithsonian Latino Center in Washington, numerous companies and celebrities like Beth de Woody and many of our restaurant customers are repeat catering clients.

I will create a special menu for you or you can choose among the menus posted in our catering section.  New York magazine has cited us as one of the best caterers in New York City.

Please keep us in mind for your holiday parties and let us help you plan a fabulous fiesta.Mexican
