"Lotería" is a striking pattern inspired by the traditional bingo-like Mexican childhood game of lotería. Zarela Casa's® "Lotería" features custom designed illustrations that draw on the imagery associated with the original game cards. The collection includes items for the table, bath and decorative pillows as well as rose-perfumed candles in glass "Lotería" votives.

"Lotería's" photographically printed vinyl placemats serve a dual purpose. They are an inviting backdrop during a meal and then become a game board, complete with coated playing cards, after the meal is finished. It's a wonderful way for families to spend time together. The game is also a fun language-learning tool as the object names are in both English and Spanish. The play and language "lesson" moves into the bath with a dazzling, colorful slicker vinyl shower curtain and onto the sofa or bed with welted fabric pillows.

For Fall 2005, the second in a yearly series, the "fruit lotería" pattern was inspired by the extraordinary fruits and vegetables of Mexico. Mixed with surprising hints of vibrant color, soothing muted tones are used to represent the pigments found in nature.
